So we all know that Super Bowl is coming up, here is my recipe for freezer friendly skinny chicken wings! ♥
Freezer Friendly Skinny Chicken Wings ♥
Ingredients ♥
1.5-2 lbs chicken wings
1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce ( see below for the recipe) or pick your fave bottled brand!
Directions ♥
Preheat oven to 350.
Place chicken in one layer on 1-2 baking sheets. Bake for 30 minutes or until browned.
Remove from oven. Increase temp to 400
Brush each wing liberally with sauce, pour any remaining over the top of the wings. Return to oven for 15 minutes.
For the sauce....
1 tbs extra virgin olive oil
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
2/3 cup ketchup
2 tbs worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp sriracha
2 tsp smoked paprika
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tsp onion powder
Directions ♥
In a pot over medium heat, add the oil and allow to get hot but not smoking. Add the garlic and stir until you can smell it, about 30 seconds. Add the remaining ingredients and stir until combined. Allow to cook until thickened, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes.
Store in an air tight container in the fridge.
Freezer Friendly...pack cooked chicken wings into ziploc freezer friendly bags, store until ready to use, thaw out and heat up in the oven at about 200- 250 degrees.
