Russian Tea Cakes ♥

Here's a sweet russian treat for christmas, russian tea cakes. This is from grandma Katrina's recipe, but I altered it using Smart balance butter instead for a healthier version
enjoy! ♥



Ingredients ♥


1 cup butter ( softened) Smart balance brand


1/2 cup confectioners' sugar


2 1/4 cups sifted flour


1/4 teaspoon salt


1 teaspoon vanilla


3/4 cup finely chopped nuts (grated)


Directions ♥

Mix all ingredients together until blended. Form into 1 inch balls. Bake at 400 degrees for 14 to 17 minutes. While hot, roll in additional confectioners sugar.see above you can also dust them when finished with extra powdered sugar using the old flour sifter!  Cool, roll in sugar again. Makes 5 dozen.enjoy!♥
